Our History, And What We Offer You

The Kiwi Holiday Parks group was formed in 1989 and initially registered as "Kiwi Camps of New Zealand, Inc". We have grown from a basic referral group into a progressive marketing organisation… we are a unique gathering together of parks, each individually owned and operated, and each committed to serving the travelling public.

There are Kiwi Holiday Parks situated throughout New Zealand, in cities and towns and in rural communities. We offer our discerning, budget-conscious guests an opportunity to see New Zealand at an affordable price, while staying in a wide variety of accommodation of a similar standard.

Member parks offer motels, tourist flats, cabins, lodges/hostels for the larger groups travelling together, powered and non powered sites catering for caravans, campervans and tents. Our parks are quality establishments, all with minimum 3-star rating, offering clean facilities and accommodation units. Almost every park is a "park-like" property, with many shade trees, hedges, gardens, playgrounds and pools for the enjoyment of guests. Here you will meet the friendly New Zealanders, and often other visitors from all over the world, and you can share experiences and learn of exciting and interesting things to see and do during your stay in the locality.

Each park has its own characteristics that usually reflects the attractions of the area, whether the park is located in a major city with its museums, shopping and major entertainment venues, or is situated amongst the renowned natural beauty of New Zealand’s countryside. From the larger parks in major tourist localities with their hot pools, swimming pools and other attractions… to the smaller operator located in the rural areas of the country, giving the visitor a taste of peaceful rural life… each has something unique to offer.

Visitors can expect a warm and friendly welcome on arrival as well as detailed advice and information freely available on local attractions. Most hosts can make reservations for you for tours and activities in their area. Take advantage of this service. All parks will book your forward accommodation for you.
