2. I don’t know New Zealand very well. Can someone help me plan my itinerary?
Yes, we can. Just give us your expected arrival and departure dates and we will do the rest. Alternatively, give us the number of days that you wish to spend in the Country and we will plan a suggested itinerary for your consideration.

3. I have a limited time to spend in New Zealand. Can I see all of the Country in 7 days or less?
The answer is no. If you only have a limited time, then we suggest that you select an area and spend time there and see it properly. KiwiHolidayParks.com staff will help you select an area if you wish, or click on an area and explore the possibilities. Also try our special interests section.

4. What are the peak holiday periods in New Zealand?
Peak Periods are Christmas/New Year, January, Easter, all school holiday times in April, July and September. Remember, Australian school holiday periods are very similar to New Zealand. Shoulder seasons are February and March, and October through to Christmas. The ski season in Queenstown and Wanaka for July/August/September is another busy period for those locations.

5. I can only travel with my family during School Holiday periods. Should I pre-book?
Yes. It is advisable to pre-book during these periods. ( See question 4: Peak periods.)

6. Is it necessary to pre-book all my accommodation? I want to be free to stay longer in a location if we enjoy the area.
The time of year you are travelling will determine whether or not we recommend pre-booking all of your accommodation. If you are planning on travelling during peak holiday times then, yes we do recommend that you pre-book. If out side of the peak periods, then it is not so necessary to have all of your accommodation pre-booked. Certain shoulder seasons can also be busy periods.

7. Do I receive vouchers for pre-booked accommodation, tours and attractions?
Yes. All bookings have vouchers. The vouchers are posted to your home address, or to the accommodation place or rental car company you’ll be at after you arrive in New Zealand . A complete itinerary is also included with details on all properties where reservations have been made for you, along with details and confirmation vouchers for any tours or activities that have been booked on your behalf.

8. Can I purchase pre paid accommodation vouchers?
Yes, pre-paid accommodation vouchers can be purchased through KiwiHolidayParks.com. Simply forward a request to the KiwiHolidayParks.com Reservations Office, stating the number required. Don’t forget to include the number of persons in your party. Adults and children (14 years and under). Pre-paid vouchers can also be purchased through your travel agent.

9. Do I need to pre book powered sites for a Campervan/Motorhome?
It is not necessary to pre-book a powered site for a campervan/motorhome. Part of the enjoyment of travelling by campervan is the flexibility that it offers, and the freedom thereby created. However, if you want to book ahead as you travel through the country, all Kiwi Holiday Member Parks will book ahead for you. Merely ask at reception.

10. Can I purchase pre-paid vouchers for powered sites for Campervans?
Yes, you may. Pre-paid vouchers can be purchased through KiwiHolidayParks.com. Simply forward a request by email to Reservations Office stating the number you require, along with the number of adults and children (14 years and under) in your party. Alternatively, watch our Specials page. You may find a campervan hire package there including pre-paid vouchers. Pre-paid vouchers also can be purchased through your travel agent.

11. Is linen included when I make a reservation?
Yes, linen is included in all pre-booked accommodation unless you request that it is not required. Linen is also included in all pre paid accommodation vouchers.

12. If I pre-book with KiwiHolidayParks.com, how do I pay?
For accommodation pre-booked through KiwiHolidayParks.com, a deposit of 10% of the total amount due is payable on confirmation. The balance is payable 30 days prior to travel. Payment can be by bank cheque, Electronic Transfer, or Visa and Mastercard credit cards.

13. If I prefer to book through my travel agent am I able to do so?
Yes you may. We accept bookings from travel agencies just as any reservations company does.

14. My 16 year old son is still at school, what rate does he come under?
In a Holiday Park, a child is considered to be 14 years and under. From 15 years and older they are considered as adults and pay the adult rate. In some other accommodation establishments, different ages may apply.

15. We have a baby of 6 months. What rate do we pay?
For pre-booked accommodation and for pre paid accommodation vouchers, a 6 months infant is FREE. Most holiday parks and other accommodation providers do not charge for children under 2 years.

16. Are Heaters available in the Cabins and other accommodation units?
Yes, electric heaters are available in all accommodation units.

17. What time do I have to vacate my accommodation by?
Check out time is no later than 10 a.m. on the morning of departure.
