14km west of Dargaville. A short walk to the unspoiled beauty of 100km of white sandy beach. Two restaurants adjacent; nearby is an 18 hole golf course. We hire out golf clubs, book horse treks, beach tours, and Quad bike hire. At the southern point of the beach is NZ's largest harbour, the Kaipara, at the mouth of which there has been over 140 shipwrecks. A large 4WD bus takes tours down the beach. 60km north is the Waipoua Forest, home of NZ's largest Kauri tree. 60km south is Matakohe Kauri Museum.
