A scenic drive of some 45 km brings you from Queenstown to the hamlet of Glenorchy, where you will be met and welcomed by our helpful and friendly staff. They will help you select all the necessary clothing which is supplied for your comfort including hats and gloves. Idling sedately across the lake we pause for a 'photo memory' before entering the shallow braided lower reaches of the passage to the Dart River. Your highly skilled and experienced driver knows the maze of deceptive channels well and pilots your craft expertly through dark deep pools, past sheer granite faces and around rocky outcrops. You'll also be amazed at their vast knowledge given through commentary, of the colourful history, geology, flora and fauna of the uniquely beautiful Mount Aspiring National Park. A rocky foreboding canyon marks the 35 km turnaround point and as your jetboat turns downstream you are about to experience the thrill and exhilaration of 'pure water' jetboating. Homeward bound the driver will demonstrate the world famous Hamilton Jet spin, the power and precision of these environmentally sensitive craft is amazing. An optional short bush walk is a highlight of the Safari, a quiet stroll through timeless beech forest by a small mountain stream, which adds another dimesion to this wilderness experience.
