Welcome to a world of ancient Maori and proud warriors.

Your evening begins wth a pre Tamaki Maor Village encounter - the story of Maori migration told within a series of magical indoor sets, including native garden and themed Maori theatre.  Next, take a bus (Waka) trip as the migration story unfolds as you paddle your waka out to the village.  On arrival guests are welcomed and lead into the pre-European village.  A significant era of New Zealand's history is re-visited as Maori families bring to life traditions of the past.  The highlght of the evening is the Wharenui (Meeting House) and Cultural performance - a powerful encounter connecting the past with the present through traditional song, dance, myths and storytelling.   Then it is time for fun and feasting with a traditional Hangi - food cooked the traditional way beneath the ground on hot rocks.

Shows commence 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm.  Duration 3.5 hours.  Hotel transfers commence from 4 pm and 6 pm respectively.
